Head injuries require specialized treatment in a supportive setting.

For brain injury rehabilitation to be effective, a lot of therapeutic and personal care systems have to come together in a supportive setting. At Rose Meadow Farm and its new affiliate, Rose Meadow Garden, in New Boston, NH, owners Joanne Devine and Dan Donovan create an environment which is homey and attractive while providing residents with brain and spinal cord injuries with an array of services including physical and neurological therapy, personal care assistance, and one-on-one case management. The facilities attract residents from New England and the greater Northeast area due to their easily accessible locations.

People dealing with traumatic brain injury have a multitude of symptoms including difficulties in maintaining full consciousness, confusion, attention deficiencies, and disruptions in mood and personality, as well as mobility and dexterity problems. The brain injury rehabilitation facilities at Rose Meadow offer individualized physical, occupational, and neurological therapies; the facility's therapeutic endurance gym includes parallel bars and practice stairs for ambulation rehabilitation, standing frames, a raised stretching mat, and both universal gym equipment and equipment specially designed to meet individualized needs. The gym is located so as to offer the residents the most privacy as they participate in their therapeutic regimens.

An excellent staff to resident ratio

Unlike many nursing and assisted living facilities notorious for staff shortages, Rose Meadow Farm and Rose Meadow Garden maintain a high staff to resident ratio in order to provide the ultimate in personalized attention, 24 hours a day. Acquired brain injury rehabilitation or spinal cord injury including those with tracheotomy and feeding tubes, vent cure suctioning or who have seizure disorders as a result of their injuries, can feel confident that their specialized needs will be met at all hours of the day and night. In addition, the high staff levels allow Rose Meadow to offer a variety of structured day activity programs. Rose Meadow is a licensed Assisted living facility for those with brain injury, and offers both long and short term care as well as respite care.

Varied funding sources open up Rose Meadow Farm to many.

Because Rose Meadow Farm accepts funding from a variety of sources, the facility is available to a wide variety of people. In addition to accepting private payments from individuals, we accept workers compensation, structured settlements, liens, some private health insurance, the NH Medicaid under the waiver program, TBI, and negotiated Veteran's administration program. Our staff works hard to find funding avenues for prospective residents.

People needing brain injury rehabilitation face a variety of challenges as they regain their highest level of independence. At Rose Meadow Farm and Rose Meadow Garden, residents are assured that they get all the therapeutic support and community care services they need, in a comfortable and homey living environment.
